General

Gametimer does not turn off screens.
The purpose of Gametimer is to engage with your children and avoid discussions about screen time.
Children are allowed to operate the Gametimer themselves, which creates trust; they learn to organise and plan within the agreed playing times. Turning off screens is counter-productive to our philosophy and will lead to more discussion and arguing.
Gametimer is not about setting hard boundaries, but about raising awareness about screen time.

When the time has elapsed, the Gametimer can no longer be used. The Gametimer will give clear audio signals when the time is up and can no longer be set to GREEN. Children know when playtime has passed. After this, give the child the opportunity to close the game properly. (see “5 tips” on our website)

It is better to purchase a Gametimer for each child, multiple Gametimers can be connected in the App.
Age, school hours and other obligations are different for each child. The weeklock makes it possible to set a different programme every day. The Gametimers have different colours so each child can choose their own colour. We offer a nice discount for purchasing two or more Gametimers.

Technical questions

• You may have set the holiday times but the holiday mode is not turned on. Or you may have set the regular times but the Gametimer is still in holiday mode.
• Check whether your smartphone or tablet has Bluetooth turned on.
• Make sure you are within range of the Gametimer.
• Check the Gametimer is charged.
• To check whether an update is available; go to “Settings”->“Connected Gametimers”->“Update”.

There can be various reasons why the Gametimer is beeping:
• The Gametimer has been activated outside the active hours. The Gametimer will not work and will continue to beep. You can change the active hours per day.
• The Gametimer is on mandatory pause
• The set time has elapsed for the day.

• First check whether your smartphone or tablet has Bluetooth turned on.
• Make sure you are within range of the Gametimer.
• If you manage the Gametimer with multiple phones, only 1 phone can be connected to the Bluetooth at a time. When you turn the Bluetooth off on the connected phone, the other phone can now connect via the app.
• Check the Gametimer is charged.
• Close the app and open it again.

If you need to install multiple Gametimers, you will see 2 serial numbers during the installation. Tap one of the serial numbers; you will see that 2 green lights will light up on 1 of the Gametimers. Select your colour and complete the installation. When you tap “New Gametimer”, the Gametimer you just installed will no longer be listed here and you can install the other Gametimer(s).

• The Gametimer update may take a few minutes. Don’t touch the screen, don’t turn off the Bluetooth or WiFi, and stay near the Gametimer.
• If the update is interrupted, you will receive a failure message. 2 red and 2 green lights will be displayed. Follow the steps below: Gametimer displays 2 red lights and 2 green lights

1. First check whether your smartphone or tablet has Bluetooth turned on.
2. Make sure you are within range of the Gametimer.
3. An update is required.
Go to the Gametimer app“Settings”->“Connected Gametimers”->“Update”.

The Gametimer charging time depends on the adapter you use. It normally takes between 10 and 15 hours. The Gametimer can then be used for 30 days without recharging.

Go to “Timers” in the Gametimer app and you will see an airplane on the right. Tap the airplane to turn off the Gametimer (this will put it in airplane mode). After switching on “Airplane mode”, you will see “Travel mode” in the display, with the installed firmware version displayed below that. When “Airplane mode” is on, the aircraft turns orange in the app.

Go to “Timers” in the Gametimer app and you will see a palm tree on the left. Tap the palm tree to set the Gametimer to “Holiday mode”. After switching “Holiday mode” on, the Gametimer will give a signal. When “Holiday mode” is on, the palm tree turns orange in the app.

• If you can’t change times in the app, toggle “Holiday Mode” on/off, or turn the volume up or down, it’s likely that “Airplane Mode” is turned on. Go to “Timers” in the Gametimer app and you will see an airplane on the right. Click on the plane to turn the “Airplane Mode” on or off.
• Check whether your smartphone or tablet has Bluetooth turned on.
• Make sure you are within range of the Gametimer.
• Check the Gametimer is charged.
• To check whether an update is available; go to “Settings”->“Connected Gametimers”->“Update”.

Charge the Gametimer. The Gametimer charging time depends on the adapter you use. It normally takes between 10 and 15 hours. The Gametimer can then be used for 30 days without recharging.

If you accidentally entered the wrong colour or name during installation, please remove the Gametimer. Go to “Settings”->“Connected Gametimers”->“Remove”. You can then reinstall the Gametimer.

When you want to create a new account. Go to “Account”->“Logout”, you can then register a new account.

It is not possible to link multiple accounts to one Gametimer. If your existing account is still connected to the Gametimer, please delete this Gametimer on the linked account first. Go to “Settings”->“Connected Gametimers”->“Remove”. You can then create a new account and reconnect the Gametimer.
